SICAT and Vatech America Forge Software Partnership to Enhance Dental Imaging

Vatech America, a renowned manufacturer of dental equipment, has entered into a software partnership with SICAT. This collaboration integrates SICAT’s suite of applications with Vatech’s Ez3D-iTM, the native 3D imaging software that powers Vatech’s range of 3D imaging systems.

Comprehensive Suite of Applications

The partnership brings the SICAT Suite, which includes Implant, Endo, and Air applications, to users of Vatech’s full line of 3D CBCT products. This integration aims to enhance implant planning and treatment precision. Additionally, SICAT’s surgical guides and therapeutic appliances will be available to Vatech users, offering a more comprehensive solution for dental practitioners.

One of the key features of this collaboration is the incorporation of artificial intelligence in the SICAT workflow. Louis DeFilippo, vice president of sales for Vatech America, emphasised the importance of this development:

“Improving the implant workflow and ease of use is a guiding principle for Vatech. This partnership with SICAT adds a world-class surgical guide solution to the Vatech Ez3Di software suite for all Vatech clients.”

The AI-powered system enables the creation of precise and accurate surgical guides for implantology and endodontic surgery. It also facilitates airway analysis, which is crucial for managing obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) through SICAT’s OPTISLEEP therapeutic appliance.

This partnership also opens new avenues for CEREC owners. As DeFilippo explains, it “creates a new path for CEREC owners to utilize the equipment they love for digital impressions and CAD/CAM with Vatech 3D innovations.”
