SprintRay, a provider of dental 3D printing solutions, has recently unveiled ProWash S, a post-processing hardware designed to provide comprehensive cleaning and drying for 3D printed dental parts. This latest addition to SprintRay’s lineup reportedly offers advanced software features and cloud connectivity, enabling seamless integration between SprintRay devices and streamlining the workflow from 3D printing to curing.
Hossein Bassir, Chief Product Officer at SprintRay, expressed enthusiasm about the new product, stating, “ProWash S represents a significant stride towards a more intelligent dental workflow. Leveraging the insights gained from the award-winning Pro Wash/Dry, we have implemented targeted enhancements, ranging from advanced cloud capabilities to an intuitive user interface that offers valuable assistance and intelligence.”
Cloud Connectivity
ProWash S is equipped with a 5″ touchscreen computer and networking capabilities, allowing it to send and receive print job data. By connecting to the SprintRay Cloud, the device can obtain information from the Pro S printer, such as resin type and processing instructions, prior to the washing process. Subsequently, it transfers the curing profile information to the ProCure 2, reportedly enabling a smooth transition between printing and post-processing stages.
There is also an onboard intelligent system that provides step-by-step instructions for common workflow tasks and scheduled maintenance. When combined with the automated cloud-based job handoff, this is meant to reduce decision-making points and minimizes the need for extensive training.
Design Updates
The ProWash S can reportedly complete a thorough 2-stage wash and drying process in just 9 minutes, significantly enhancing operational efficiency. According to a press release, ProWash S features optimized motor dynamics and washing profiles that deliver improved wash quality for all types of resin, while also reducing the overall cycle time.
The device incorporates a new drying fan for more thorough drying of the printed parts, which helps optimize their mechanical properties during subsequent steps. Additionally, users have the flexibility to create custom cleaning profiles, offering a higher level of control over the workflow.
Dr Steven Shao shared his experience with the new product, stating, “SprintRay has been a game-changer in my practice for the past 6 years. With the remarkable ProWash S and its seamless one-touch operation, we are taking clinical efficiency and user-friendliness to a whole new level!”
