Stratasys and Express Dental Partner Donate 3D-Printed Dentures to Oklahoma Dental Mission

Stratasys Ltd. has joined forces with Express Dental Labs of Norman, Oklahoma, to donate full and partial dentures to over 55 individuals in need at the recent Oklahoma Dental Association Mission of Mercy (OkMOM) event. This initiative aims to address the oral health needs of underserved populations by offering free essential dental care.

At the OkMOM event, each patient in need of dentures underwent an inter-oral scan, which Express Dental Labs utilized to manufacture the dentures using Stratasys’ J5 DentaJet® 3D Printer and TrueDent resin.

The dentures were printed overnight and promptly delivered by participating dentists the following day, providing patients with well-fitting, natural-looking dentures within 24 hours.

Technology Enhancing Community Service

Express Dental Labs owner, Tra’ Chambers, expressed enthusiasm for the community impact facilitated by Stratasys technology: “Traditionally, dentures are labor-intensive to manufacture, but when using Stratasys technology, we can serve many more patients in a shorter amount of time.”

The technology ensures highly accurate dentures that match the patient’s gum and tooth color, promoting both aesthetics and functionality.

This marks the second year that Express Dental Labs has utilized the Stratasys TrueDent solution for the OkMOM event, demonstrating a commitment to leveraging innovative technology for community service.

Ronen Lebi, Vice President of Dental at Stratasys, emphasizes the positive impact of their technology on improving the lives of those in need: “It is truly gratifying to witness the positive impact that our technology, and the expertise of Express Dental Labs, has on the lives of those in need, restoring their confidence and enhancing quality of life with better looking and fitting dentures.”

Stratasys anticipates continued growth in the adoption of technologies like TrueDent, which streamline the denture manufacturing process, increase efficiency, and reduce turnaround time for labs.

By leveraging 3D printing technology, dental labs can provide faster, more personalized care to patients, ultimately enhancing access to essential dental services.
