Ultradent Unveils J-Temp Temporary Resin

Ultradent Products, Inc. has launched J-Temp Temporary Resin, a premixed, light-cured resin designed for a variety of dental procedures. The product was engineered to offer maximum usability, with 4 solutions in one product syringe.

The temporary resin can be used for various applications, such as temporary restorations, bite ramps, temporary occlusal buildups, to build structure for isolation clamping, and for splinting between implant copings.

Formulated for Ease of Use

J-Temp Temporary Resin was developed by Ultradent’s Vice-President of Clinical Affairs, Dr  Jaleena Jessop.

“J-Temp Temporary Resin started because there was always a need for something that didn’t exist,” said Jessop.

“The more I used J-Temp temporary resin for different procedures, the more I found that it is really nice to have 1 product that can cover a gamut of different needs, versus needing 5 or 6 different materials that may expire before you use them next.”

The product is a radiopaque, light-cured, flowable, methacrylate-based resin that provides a durable yet temporary material for multiple use cases. The viscosity of the material allows for a predictable flow, making it easy to deliver via syringe with Ultradent’s Black Mini Tip.

With less than a 5% shrinkage rate, J-Temp Temporary Resin reduces the possibility of open margins around a temporary restoration. Its distinctive purple colour makes it easy to differentiate from enamel and dentin and can be visualized under X-ray.

Four Clinical Indications For Use

J-Temp Temporary Resin has four approved clinical indications, making it a versatile go-to product for dental offices. The product can be used for temporary restorations during endodontic procedures, splinting between multiple implant copings, providing structure for isolation clamping, and creating bite ramps during orthodontic treatment.

J-Temp Temporary Resin was designed by dentists, for dentists. According to Ultradent, the product offers a solution for the wide range of needs faced by clinicians, making it a must-have product in every dental office.

The company recommends using J-Temp Temporary Resin with Ultradent’s Black Mini™ tip for simple, precise placement.
