German dental milling machine manufacturer, vhf camfacture AG, has announced a new partnership with Digital Smile Design (DSD)  and its founder Dr Christian Coachman to drive the digital future of the dental industry and improve dental workflows. The partnership signals the start of a joint effort between the two companies.

Dr Christian Coachman, founder and CEO of DSD, expressed his excitement about the partnership and the future cooperation with vhf: “We are convinced that CAD/CAM-fabricated restorations in the DSD concept offer real added value and we know that vhf provides us with the best technology for this. With milling machines from vhf, complex work can be mastered in the laboratory on the one hand and perfect solutions for the patient can be produced chairside on the other.”

Developing Three Core Areas

DSD is an education and service company that helps dentists and dental technicians realize comprehensive digital care. The company focuses on three core areas: comprehensive treatment planning, improved clinical outcomes through technology incorporation, and creating a unique patient experience. 

The partnership between DSD and vhf aims to develop competencies in these three areas, enabling modern dentists to expand their portfolio by offering chairside milling applications and significantly improving work processes. The partnership also enables dental laboratories to offer supporting solutions for dentists.
