W&H has introduced the Lexa Plus sterilizer, a Class B pre-vacuum sterilizer that will be available in North America.

The Lexa Plus, according to the manufacturer, provides greater capacity, energy-efficient cycles, automatic water refill, traceability choices, and connectivity options to assure complete infection control and safety for dental professionals and patients.
The steriliser has a colour touchscreen display with a simple menu and a number of options to streamline daily tasks. According to W&H, the big chamber, quick cycle times, and effective load drying offer further advantages, as well as freedom in tray and rack design.
Eco Dry PLUS reduces cycle times
The Lexa Plus steriliser has a revolutionary Eco Dry PLUS feature that modifies drying time dependent on the mass of the load. W&H claims that by reducing cycle times, the life of the equipment can be extended, and use less energy, which improves efficiency.
With its substantial 7.4-gallon chamber, the steriliser can process up to 16.5 pounds of wrapped instruments and 18 pounds of unwrapped instruments utilising its 5-tray rack. For maximum effectiveness, the steriliser can be connected to a demineralized system owing to the automatic water-filling mechanism.
Additionally, W&H claims the EliTrace feature is a documentation system that offers complete instrument traceability, guaranteeing a high level of safety for both dental practice employees and clients. A USB connection can be used to save this data.
