NEW ZEALAND: Dr. Jacob Goldenberg, a dentist based in Auckland, is under investigation for allegedly continuing to practise despite being suspended by the Dental Council since March last year. The suspension has prompted dozens of complaints from patients, raising concerns about the dentist’s conduct and the impact on those seeking dental care.

Patient Complaints and Financial Losses

Patients of Total Health Dentistry, Dr. Goldenberg’s practice in Ponsonby, have reported significant financial losses and disruptions in treatment. Call for Action and Support

Patients like Jing Rao, who paid for dental procedures that were never performed, are calling for stronger action to hold Dr. Goldenberg accountable and seek redress for their financial losses. While authorities are investigating the matter, patients are encouraged to lodge formal complaints with the Dental Council and seek legal recourse through avenues like the Disputes Tribunal.

Mo Amso, Chief Executive of the New Zealand Dental Association, advises patients to verify the credentials of their dentists and seek information from regulatory authorities before undergoing treatment. He underscores the importance of transparency and accountability in dental practices to ensure patient confidence and safety.
