HeySmile all-digital clear aligner system

Planmeca launched HeySmile, the new clear aligner system billed as an open solution that integrates seamlessly into any dental clinic.

According to the company’s press release, HeySmile is a doctor-driven solution that can flexibly adapt to the widest range of treatments, workflows, and tools.

With HeySmile , the dentist is fully in charge of the aligner treatment, from using the digital HeySmile Studio platform to perform complete diagnosis and treatment prescription to directly communicating with a HeySmile dental technician which ensures that the treatment plan aligns with the dentist’s treatment goals.

The system accepts open 3D files from almost any intraoral scanner or imaging device. Every step of the aligner design and production process is completed at HeySmile’s state-of-the-art facilities, including treatment planning, manufacturing and quality assurance. Supported by a team of dental technicians and Planmeca’s field expertise, HeySmile treatment plansare said to have one of the highest acceptance rates for first setups in the market.

The aligners are made from HeySmile’s unique three-layer Timanti material, which allows the aligners to maintain their shape while they gently move the patient’s teeth to the desired position.

According to Planmeca, the in-house process allows the aligners to be designed, manufactured and shipped in as little as one week.
