Korea: RoboWide, a specialist in AI autonomous driving robots, are planning to expand the adoption of service robot technology in dental clinics and medical institutions with their RoboWide Segway Subbot S1.
The robotic solution has been equipped with more features that are said to allow easy mobility and efficient management for dental practitioners.
Web Calling Capabilities
With its web calling capabilities, users can easily call and control the robot using mobile devices, tablets, or PCs through a QR code scan, says the company. Its compact design is meant to enable smooth navigation through narrow spaces, minimizing the risk of collisions. According to the manufacturer, this advancement opens up opportunities for seamless integration of robotics in healthcare settings, improving operational efficiency and patient care.
“With the web calling feature, it is now easy to utilize robots in dental clinics and other medical institutions.” said a RoboWide representative.
Sensing Technology for Safe Movement
The RoboWide Segway Subbot S1 is equipped with 2D laser sensors and 3D scanning cameras, enabling it to detect and avoid obstacles in its path. This sensing technology is said to ensure safe and efficient movement, preventing accidents and promoting a smooth workflow. Additionally, the robot features a 15-inch display that can showcase informative videos and images for patients to view.
With its smart vision mapping technology, the RoboWide Segway Subbot S1 can accurately navigate through the facility with the attachment of a single guide marker. Its autonomous capabilities allow it to smoothly maneuver through narrow corridors, ensuring minimal disruption to patient flow even during peak hours, says a press release.
By automating tasks such as medical supply preparation, chart delivery, and post-treatment item transportation, the robot can reduce waiting times and enhance overall service quality.
