SmileDirectClub Introduces CarePlus

USA: SmileDirectClub, a renowned provider of teeth straightening solutions, has unveiled a new premium aligner offering called CarePlus, aimed at providing customers with enhanced choices. 

Starting from August, CarePlus will be available at all U.S. SmileShop locations and select Partner Network locations, expanding the options for consumers seeking teeth straightening services.

Array of Customer Benefits 

With the introduction of CarePlus, SmileDirectClub customers now have the opportunity to choose between the original telehealth-powered Care aligners or opt for the premium CarePlus option. 

The CarePlus package offers various benefits, including access to a local dentist or orthodontist for in-person check-ins, a dedicated 24/7 Concierge customer care team, expedited aligner shipping, and the added comfort of scalloped-edge aligners and retainers. 

The new scalloped edge design, previously tested in the U.K. market, gently rests on the gumline, providing a higher level of comfort during treatment.

Customer Feedback and Appreciation

The CarePlus option was piloted in four key U.S. markets earlier this year, and SmileDirectClub reported positive feedback from customers who appreciated the flexibility of a hybrid option and the enhanced product features offered by CarePlus. 

The company’s commitment to providing customers with choices has been a core aspect of its mission to innovate traditional orthodontics.

David Katzman, CEO and Chairman of SmileDirectClub, emphasized the significance of CarePlus, stating that it reflects the company’s dedication to meeting customer needs. He highlighted the value of having the option for in-office visits with a local licensed dentist alongside the virtual care platform, stating that this offering serves as an incremental growth channel for the customer-driven company.

Post-Treatment Benefits and Premium Oral Care Products

Upon completing their aligner treatment, CarePlus customers receive two years’ worth of retainers and SmileDirectClub’s Lifetime Smile Guarantee, ensuring that their teeth remain straight and healthy. Additionally, CarePlus customers will be provided with a selection of premium oral care products from SmileDirectClub, including a whitening system, toothbrush, and oral care kit.

Costs and Payment Options

For customers interested in the new premium CarePlus offering, the total cost is $3,900 when paid in full. Alternatively, SmileDirectClub offers the SmilePay™ option, allowing customers to pay $115 per month. 

The traditional care option, which includes the original telehealth-powered Care aligners, is available at $2,250 when paid in full, or customers can opt for the SmilePay™ plan at $89 per month.

Expanding the Reach Globally

In addition to launching CarePlus, SmileDirectClub recently announced the opening of 18 new SmileShops, bringing the total number of stores globally to 128. The company’s expansion efforts aim to make their innovative teeth straightening solutions more accessible to a broader audience.
