Stratasys Launches New J3 DentaJet for Dental Labs

Stratasys, a 3D printing company, has introduced its latest printer, the J3 DentaJet 3D printer, designed specifically for dental applications.

Featuring biocompatible resins

According to a press release, the J3 DentaJet features biocompatible resins that enable the creation of mixed parts for crown and bridge models, implantology, and orthodontic models in the same print job. The printer is also equipped with a large circular build tray and a High-Speed mode, which enables labs to increase their efficiency.

Ronen Lebi, Vice President of Dental at Stratasys, believes that the J3 DentaJet is an excellent value for smaller dental labs looking to level up their dental production to offer higher-quality digital dental products.

“Adding a J3 DentaJet 3D printer can help labs produce best-in-class dental applications that require extreme accuracy at scale as demand is growing,” said Lebi.

PolyJet Jetting Technology

One of the key features of the J3 DentaJet is Stratasys’s proprietary PolyJet jetting technology, which cures printed parts during the printing process, which minimises post-processing by curing printed parts while they are being printed. This technology is exclusive to Stratasys. Also, this approach removes the need for lab staff to handle uncured resin, which is beneficial for any lab staff.

The J3 DentaJet 3D printer will be available for viewing at the LMT Lab Day Chicago, from February 23rd through the 25th, as well as the IDS global trade fair in Cologne, Germany from March 14 through the 18th. It is expected to ship in March 2023.
