Ultradent has launched the VALO X, a redesigned curing light said to provide users with a more complete cure, thanks to its 12.5 mm lens and custom LED chip.

Touted for its durability, power, accessibility, and versatility, the VALO X boast an aerospace-grade aluminum construction and an ergonomic wand design. In addition, its low-profile and compact design ensures better access to difficult-to-reach regions of the mouth and optimum patient comfort and operator handling. The low-profile wand head increases access to posterior restorations.

The VALO X curing light is said to deliver a more complete cure due to its 12.5 mm lens aperture and powerful LED chip that promises superior curing depth and beam collimation – purportedly with better thermal management than other lights.

Equipped with two power modes (Standard Power and Xtra Power modes) and two diagnostic light modes (Black Light and White Light Diagnostic modes), the VALO X curing light offers both corded and cordless use.

It features a single-button activation and Accelerometer Function that allows users to easily cycle between light and diagnostic modes with a wave of the wand. The curing light also features five accessory lenses adding to the versatility of the wand design.

“We simplified the VALO X curing light even more by making it the only light that allows you to change modes without pushing buttons, thanks to its new accelerometer,” said Neil Jessop, Ultradent VP of Research and Development.

“In fact, it’s engineered so well that it won’t change modes by accident, providing the experience and performance you expect from a VALO curing light.”

Covered by a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty, the VALO X curing light retails for US$2299 and it comes with a battery charger, cord adapter, and other necessary components.
